Finally I got to fight!
Geeeez m... my body had been itching for this for quite some time.
Imagine yourselves preparing for a certain moment, putting in hard work everyday, not only physically but mentally as well - learning new teqnique, getting tossed around like a baby- eventually you'll want to put yourself to the test. I do at least!
So finally I got to put myself out there, testing my wings in a new sport, and I won!
There are a few things, looking back on the fight that I'm not entirely pleased with everything of course, but that gives me an indication on what I have to work on.
But over all I'm happy with it and I got to show a bit of range and take HER down, which I don't think that many expected from me being a standup fighter!
After the fight I went with my coaches and my girls (Awaz, Carro, Ottilia and Lionie), who were going nuts cheering for me during the fight!
The post-fight-meal were burgers at Prime, but I wasn't in the mood to eat like I thought I would be actually. Like a pig that is. I just had a burger, not even a side order. Their Ice cream machine was broken as well so the decadent dessert plan we had didn't fall through until....
THANK HEAVEN FOR 7/11!
This combo was magic:
- 1 brownie
- Ben n Jerry's ice cream (the one with cookie dough and cookie crumbles)
- A banana chocolate chip cookie
The chocolate fudge drizzled on top is made with honey, coconut oil and cocoa (I added some vanilla as well but that's optional)
Let me tell you tho that this masterpiece is VERY rich and even with a small portion (half a brownie, cookie and just a scoop of icecream) I barely made it. Could be that I'm sensitive to greasy stuff now that I've been eating clean for a month. I disappointed my chocolate loving gene!
